About Sudoku

Sudoku is a successful game that has launched in Japan and England in the last 2 years.

Sudoku is a Japanese word and means "number single". It is a simple numbers game that has become the biggest puzzle craze to hit Japan and Britain since the Rubik's cube! Millions of people are now addicted to a game invented more than 200 years ago by a blind Swiss mathematician.

"It looks easy, but to do it well requires real thought. All the best games - chess, bridge, and crosswords - have the same characteristics. The rules are fairly simple, but the scope for skill is limitless. When you solve the problem you feel terrific."

There's no math involved. The grid has numbers, from 1 to 9, but nothing has to add up to anything else. You solve the puzzle with reasoning and logic.

It has been determined that Sudoku is attracting a new audience. Those people that see themselves as crossword fans generally do not play Sudoku and prefer to stick with different types of crosswords. The people that do not see themselves as being able to play crosswords find Sudoku far easier to relate to, and get addicted very quickly.

It's fun. It's challenging. It's addictive! Solving time is typically from 10 to 30 minutes, depending on your skill and experience..…
